Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), November 24, 2014 – Sure-Seal Pavement Maintenance Inc. (https://www.suresealpavement.com/), the Greater Toronto Area’s leading pavement maintenance and repair company, is announcing the benefits of asphalt as a green solution to paving this winter.

Asphalt is actually composed of all-natural materials, including sand, stone, and gravel and has been proven to be one of the most sustainable materials. When used on roads or highways, asphalt allows cars to use less fuel and generate lower emissions when in motion.

“People are always shocked at just how green asphalt truly is,” says Lance Bradshaw, president and CEO of Sure-Seal Pavement Maintenance Inc. “But as asphalt paving contractors, we’ve known for a long time just how many benefits there are to using asphalt as opposed to any other material to pave roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.”

Bradshaw explains that winter is a time of year when people typically consume more energy. However, producing and constructing asphalt actually takes half the energy of using any other paving material. It is also 100% renewable and one of the most recycled products available, says Bradshaw.

When considering paving solutions in the winter, Bradshaw observes that there are several factors that companies need to consider, such as excess precipitation due to snow, which makes it slightly more complicated to effectively complete jobs. However, skilled asphalt paving contractors, like Sure-Seal, are able to still conduct high-quality asphalt paving in the winter, despite the colder weather.

“We won’t ever put our workers in any danger, but our goal is to do a great job and make our clients happy, which sometimes means working out in the cold weather,” he continues. “Once asphalt is properly constructed, it will never have to be removed or replaced, which is why we put a high focus on quality for each job.”

“Some asphalt repair will certainly be necessary, but one of the greatest green benefits is the longevity of asphalt in comparison to, say, concrete,” Bradshaw concludes. “Asphalt lasts much longer and looks and operates much smoother than concrete or any other material, particularly in the winter, when concrete cracks and splits more frequently.”
